As Christians, we recognize the importance of technological advancements—they are essential for growth and should not be limited. His contributions in areas like SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, and Starlink are considerable and, in many ways, necessary for human progress.
We also fully support Musk in the realm of DOGE and respect his entrepreneurial genius. However, his faith in a purely technological utopia diverges from the biblical vision of civilization’s future under King Messiah, Jesus Christ.
Musk’s worldview appears influenced by works such as Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series, which he has described as “fundamental to the creation of SpaceX” (kevinrooke.com), and Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which shaped his philosophical outlook (sppl.bibliocommons.com). These works, while fascinating from a literary and intellectual standpoint, promote a humanist and secular vision of the future, one that places trust in artificial intelligence, robotics, and technological evolution rather than in the divine order of God’s Kingdom.
Jesus Christ’s vision for civilization is not a transhumanist, AI-driven utopia, but the restoration of the Garden of Eden under the reign of the King Messiah. The New Jerusalem and the Tree of Life in Revelation 22:1-5 reveal the true destiny of civilization—one not built on silicon and synthetic intelligence, but on God’s eternal wisdom, holiness, and the full restoration of creation.
As believers, we support technological progress but reject the ideology of a self-sufficient, AI-led civilization that excludes God’s sovereignty. We encourage Christians to be wise and discerning, engaging with technology without compromising biblical truth. Let us use technology for the advancement of the Kingdom of God—not as an idol of progress detached from His divine plan.
