“Flooded With God Himself”
The Internalization of the Throne Through the Indwelling Christ
A Sod ha-Sod Revelation of Ephesians 3:16–19
There are very few passages in all of Scripture that unveil the full destination of the Eternal Covenant as clearly as Epistle to the Ephesians 3:16–19.
This is not elementary Christianity.
This is not external religion.
This is not merely moral behavior, doctrinal accuracy, or theological information.
This is the unveiling of the final habitation of God in man.
This is the revelation of the Throne entering the inner world of the believer until the human vessel becomes flooded with God Himself.
The Apostle is not praying for outward blessings here.
He is praying for ontological transfiguration.
He is praying for the indwelling fullness of the Eternal God to take possession of the human interior until the believer becomes internally saturated with Divine Presence.
This is the Sod ha-Sod.
I. “OUT OF THE RICH TREASURY OF HIS GLORY”
Paul begins with:
“May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory…”
The source of transformation is not human effort.
It is not intellectual striving.
It is not natural willpower.
The source is the treasury of Divine Glory itself.
The Greek implication here is not merely “from” glory but “according to” the wealth of His glory.
Meaning:
God gives in proportion to His infinite nature.
This means the limitation is never in God.
The limitation is the capacity of the vessel.
The Eternal Covenant is therefore the expansion of human capacity for Divine habitation.
This is why the renewed heart becomes the new Temple.
This is why the New Covenant is internal.
This is why the Kingdom comes “within.”
The entire movement of redemption is God moving from external symbolism into internal embodiment.
The Ark becomes the heart.
The Temple becomes the body.
The Lampstand becomes the enlightened mind.
The Holy of Holies becomes the innermost spirit of man.
The River of Life becomes the flow of the Holy Spirit through the inner being.
The final goal of redemption was never merely forgiven humanity.
It was glorified humanity carrying the indwelling Presence.
II. “STRENGTHENED WITH MIGHTY POWER IN THE INNER MAN”
Paul does not pray for external strength first.
He prays for internal strengthening.
Why?
Because the inner man is the true battlefield of creation.
The entire fallen world operates through externalism.
But the Kingdom of God operates from within outward.
Babylon governs externally.
Zion governs internally.
The fallen nature attempts to solve reality through outward manipulation.
But the Kingdom transforms reality through inward union.
The “inner man” is the hidden sanctuary of consciousness.
It is the chamber of perception.
It is the throne-room of awareness.
It is the deep place where identity, imagination, faith, and spiritual sight converge.
And Paul says this inner sanctuary must be reinforced with mighty power by the indwelling Holy Spirit Himself.
Meaning:
The Holy Spirit is not merely visiting the believer.
The Holy Spirit is rebuilding the architecture of the inner world.
The Spirit is reconstructing consciousness itself.
This is the overthrow of the fallen Adamic operating system.
This is the replacement of serpent-consciousness with Christ-consciousness.
This is why the Spirit works internally before externally.
Because Heaven expands from the heart outward.
III. “CHRIST MAY DWELL IN YOUR HEARTS THROUGH FAITH”
This is one of the most explosive lines in the entire Bible.
Paul does not merely say:
“Believe in Christ.”
He says:
“May Christ dwell in your hearts.”
The word “dwell” here means:
To settle down permanently.
To inhabit.
To make a home.
To fully occupy.
This is not visitation.
This is habitation.
Most Christians experience occasional visitations.
But Paul is unveiling permanent enthronement.
The heart becomes the seat of Divine Government.
The Messiah settles into the inner chamber of the believer and begins governing the entire being from within.
This is the true restoration of Eden.
God walking within man again.
The believer becomes internally God-inside minded.
This is the end of separation-consciousness.
The end of external-distance Christianity.
The end of trying to reach God externally while ignoring the Throne within.
The Eternal Covenant is the internalization of Divine Presence.
IV. “ROOTED DEEP IN LOVE”
Notice:
Paul does not root the believer in fear.
Not performance.
Not religious striving.
Not legal terror.
Love.
Why?
Because love is the substance of God’s Throne.
First Epistle of John declares:
“God is love.”
Meaning love is not merely an attribute of God.
Love is the atmosphere of His Being.
Love is the climate of Heaven.
Love is the law of the Eternal Kingdom.
Therefore the deeper one becomes rooted in Divine Love, the deeper one becomes stabilized in God Himself.
The fallen world operates through fear, accusation, anxiety, performance, comparison, scarcity, and separation.
But the Kingdom operates through union.
Love is the glue of Divine Union.
Love is the substance that stabilizes the Throne within the believer.
This is why fear fragments consciousness.
But love unifies it.
Perfect love casts out fragmentation.
Perfect love heals division.
Perfect love restores Edenic wholeness.
V. “THE BREADTH AND LENGTH AND HEIGHT AND DEPTH”
This is one of the deepest mystical passages in the New Testament.
Paul begins describing Divine Love dimensionally.
Breadth.
Length.
Height.
Depth.
Why?
Because the love of Christ is not merely emotional.
It is cosmic.
It is architectural.
It is dimensional.
The Cross itself reveals these dimensions.
Height — reconciling Heaven.
Depth — descending into death.
Breadth — embracing all creation.
Length — extending through all ages.
The Cross is the dimensional gateway through which fallen humanity is brought back into the Infinite God.
And Paul says believers must “apprehend” this.
Meaning:
Not merely hear about it.
Experience it.
Encounter it.
Become swallowed by it.
The love of Christ is an oceanic reality that transcends intellectual containment.
This is why mere theological knowledge can never replace living union.
The mind alone cannot contain Infinity.
Only union can.
VI. “THAT YOU MAY KNOW THE LOVE OF CHRIST WHICH SURPASSES KNOWLEDGE”
This appears paradoxical.
How do you know something beyond knowledge?
Because Paul is speaking of experiential knowing.
There is a realm beyond informational Christianity.
A realm where revelation becomes habitation.
A realm where truth becomes substance.
A realm where God is no longer merely studied —
but encountered.
This is why the Greek understanding of knowing here implies intimate experiential participation.
The believer becomes a participant in Divine Reality.
Not merely a spectator of doctrine.
This is the difference between:
- studying fire
and - being consumed by fire.
The Kingdom is experiential.
The Eternal Covenant is participatory.
The Gospel is not merely information about God.
The Gospel is God giving Himself to man internally.
VII. “FILLED UNTO ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD”
This is among the most staggering statements in all Scripture.
Paul is literally praying for human beings to become filled with the fullness of God.
Not partially touched.
Not occasionally inspired.
Flooded.
Saturated.
Filled through all their being.
This is the restoration of the Temple.
This is the restoration of the Image.
This is the restoration of Edenic communion.
This is why Paul uses language of total immersion.
“Wholly filled and flooded with God Himself.”
The believer becomes internally immersed in Divine Presence until every faculty is transfigured:
- thought
- perception
- imagination
- desire
- identity
- consciousness
- love
- will
- spiritual sight
Everything becomes illuminated by the indwelling Christ.
This is the true glorification process.
The Kingdom moving from seed form into full habitation.
The Bright Morning Star rising in the heart until the inner cosmos becomes filled with Throne Light.
VIII. THE FINAL SOD — THE INTERNAL THRONE OF GOD
The final revelation of this passage is this:
God’s ultimate desire was always internal enthronement.
Not merely external worship.
Not merely religious systems.
Not merely institutions.
But living temples flooded with Himself.
The New Covenant is the migration of the Throne from external stone into living consciousness.
The law written internally.
The Spirit dwelling internally.
Christ reigning internally.
Love flowing internally.
The River of Life springing internally.
This is why the mature believer becomes unshakable.
Because their source is no longer external.
The Throne has become internalized.
And from this place the believer begins radiating the atmosphere of Heaven into creation itself.
This is the revelation of the glorified saints.
Not independent humans trying to reach God.
But yielded vessels flooded with God Himself.
CONCLUSION
Epistle to the Ephesians 3:16–19 is the unveiling of the entire destination of redemption:
God fully dwelling within man.
The inner world becoming the Holy of Holies.
Christ enthroned in the heart.
Love becoming the root system of consciousness.
The believer apprehending Infinite Divine Reality through experiential union.
And finally:
The human being becoming wholly filled and flooded with God Himself.
This is the Eternal Covenant.
This is the mystery hidden from ages.
This is the glorification of the saints.
This is Eden restored within.
