The verse continues with “a consecrated people set apart for YHVH.” Every priest had to learn to properly sacrifice the people’s animal offerings at the temple’s altar. Today, our altar is Messiah’s Cross within, and our animals are the intruders of sin. One of the greatest deceptions of the fall is the identity the nefesh animal soul of the flesh has to the chaff. Jesus Christ said he came to bring fire, and Elijah said the winnowing fork would clear the threshing floor and burn all the chaff with unquenchable fire. Chaff is the Messiah’s language for the uncircumcision of the foreskin of the heart, the fallen nature where all the shadows of hell live.
When the enemy was given dust as its inheritance in Genesis 3:14, it was given the chaff, the foreskin of the heart. This chaff and foreskin are invisible dimensional homes for all evil spirits and unclean demons. This is the realm of magic arts, Lavan the scholar demon, and Balaam’s red magic. So when dealing with chaff, the obedient of Jesus Christ has the incredible ability to remove the actual dimension of dust that the enemy is restricted to operate in. Christ said we don’t just deal with surface issues; we move mountains. This means we move the dimensional container of the activity of shadows; we can cast husk, chaff, foreskins, and membranes into the sea.
Much temptation today is to waste our days in the chaff of the old Adamic nature. But we must cut away at it from within and never agree or come into covenant with that realm of the dead. YHVH is the God of the living and not the dead. This separates the natures of chaff and fire, of hell and heaven.
