OPERATION GRACE TO GLORY
RLM TV SPECIAL FORCES INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING 6
OPERATION LAST ENEMY
The Resurrection Assault on Mortality
Pairs with Chapter VI — The Promised Land of Glorification
Mission Classification: Resurrection Warfare
Operational Theater: Death, Mortality, Corruption, Resurrection, Incorruption, Immortality, Glorification
Primary Scriptures: Romans 8:10–23; 1 Corinthians 15:20–28, 42–57; Philippians 3:20–21; Romans 8:29–30; 2 Corinthians 5:1–5
Mission Theme:
THE GOSPEL DOES NOT NEGOTIATE
A PERMANENT PEACE TREATY WITH DEATH.
Intel Phrase:
FORGIVENESS CLEARS THE RECORD.
RESURRECTION EMPTIES THE GRAVE.
CLASSIFIED MISSION
Every previous operation in Grace to Glory has advanced the campaign.
We recovered Original Glory.
We reopened Heaven’s Supply Line.
We entered the Internal Fountain.
We exposed The Image War.
We entered The Formation Protocol.
Grace supplies.
The Spirit indwells.
Christ is beheld.
Christ is formed.
The image of the Son emerges.
But now the operation encounters an enemy that cannot be defeated merely by changing behavior, renewing thought, or transforming character.
An enemy buried deeper in fallen human existence.
Paul identifies it without ambiguity:
DEATH.
And he does not call death a friend.
He does not call death humanity’s ultimate destination.
He calls it:
THE LAST ENEMY.
“The last enemy to be subdued and abolished is death.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:26 AMPC
Therefore the apostolic Gospel possesses a horizon greater than forgiveness.
Greater than moral improvement.
Greater even than present spiritual transformation.
The Gospel advances toward:
RESURRECTION.
OPENING INTELLIGENCE
Religion can become strangely accustomed to the enemy.
Humanity has lived beneath mortality for so long that death can appear more permanent than life.
Every civilization knows graves.
Every generation buries its dead.
Every human body presently bears mortality.
Corruption appears universal.
Death appears inevitable.
And because an enemy has ruled for ages, consciousness can begin treating its occupation as though it were God’s eternal intention.
But Easter announces a breach in the government of death.
A Man entered the grave—
and came back out.
JESUS CHRIST IS RISEN.
This is not merely an inspiring conclusion to the Gospel story.
It is:
AN INVASION OF THE AGE TO COME.
FIRST ILLUMINATION
DEATH ENTERED — CHRIST ROSE
Paul’s resurrection theology in 1 Corinthians 15 places two humanities before us.
Through Adam:
DEATH.
Through Christ:
RESURRECTION.
“For just as [because of their union of nature] in Adam all people die, so also [by virtue of their union of nature] shall all in Christ be made alive.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:22 AMPC
The contrast is enormous.
Adam represents a humanity under mortality.
Christ stands as the risen Head of New Creation.
This means resurrection is not an appendix to salvation theology.
RESURRECTION IS CENTRAL TO THE APOSTOLIC GOSPEL.
Paul goes so far as to say that if Christ has not been raised, Christian faith collapses.
Why?
Because Christianity does not merely proclaim principles that improve mortal existence.
It announces:
JESUS CHRIST HAS CONQUERED THE GRAVE.
ENEMY STRONGHOLD
THE NORMALIZATION OF DEATH AS ULTIMATE
Mortality possesses a psychological advantage.
It looks normal.
We have never known civilization without it.
Death surrounds human history so completely that it can masquerade as the final law of existence.
But Scripture refuses to grant death eternal legitimacy.
Death has:
an entrance,
a reign,
an enemy status,
and—
AN END.
Revelation does not conclude with death reigning peacefully beside God.
It announces:
“God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away.”
— Revelation 21:4 AMPC
The Bible’s final vision is not humanity learning to coexist eternally with death.
DEATH DISAPPEARS.
CLASSIFIED REVELATION
RESURRECTION IS GOD’S CONTRADICTION OF DEATH
Christian hope is sometimes reduced to:
When I die, my soul goes to Heaven.
But Paul’s horizon is larger.
He proclaims:
RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD.
The Christian hope certainly includes being with Christ, but Paul’s great consummating expectation is bodily resurrection and transformation.
Why?
Because God does not merely abandon creation to corruption.
HE REDEEMS.
Romans 8 says creation itself waits for liberation from its bondage to decay.
Philippians says our body will be transformed.
1 Corinthians says the perishable will put on the imperishable.
Therefore the apostolic hope is not merely:
ESCAPE FROM CREATION.
It is:
THE VICTORY OF DIVINE LIFE
OVER CORRUPTION.
INTELLIGENCE DISCOVERY 2
JESUS IS THE FIRSTFRUITS
Paul gives the resurrection of Jesus a strategic designation:
FIRSTFRUITS.
“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.”
Wait—AMPC:
“But now [as things really are] Christ has in fact been raised from the dead, [and He became] the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep [in death].”
— 1 Corinthians 15:20 AMPC
This word changes everything.
Firstfruits are not an isolated agricultural miracle.
They announce:
A HARVEST IS COMING.
If Christ’s resurrection were merely an exceptional event belonging uniquely to Him, “firstfruits” would be strange language.
But Paul deliberately identifies His resurrection as the beginning of something larger.
Christ rises first.
Then those belonging to Christ are raised at His coming.
Therefore:
THE EMPTY TOMB IS A PROPHECY
OF A COMING HARVEST.
Jesus is not merely the One who rose.
He is:
THE FIRSTFRUITS OF RESURRECTION.
THE FIRSTFRUITS PROTOCOL
The sequence is apostolic:
CHRIST RISEN
↓
FIRSTFRUITS
↓
THOSE WHO BELONG TO CHRIST
↓
RESURRECTION
↓
EVERY ENEMY SUBDUED
↓
DEATH DESTROYED.
This is why Paul’s resurrection chapter expands beyond individual salvation into cosmic government.
Christ reigns until He has put all enemies under His feet.
Then Paul identifies the final enemy:
DEATH.
Resurrection is therefore not merely personal consolation.
It belongs to:
THE REIGN OF CHRIST.
THE SPIRIT OF RESURRECTION
Romans 8 moves the operation inside the believer.
Paul writes that if the Spirit of Him Who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us, He Who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to our mortal bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in us.
Notice the coordinates:
THE SPIRIT DWELLS WITHIN.
This connects Operation Last Enemy directly to the previous missions.
The Internal Fountain was not irrelevant to resurrection.
The Formation Protocol was not isolated from glorification.
The Spirit who indwells us is:
THE SPIRIT OF THE GOD
WHO RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD.
The indwelling Presence therefore carries:
RESURRECTION SIGNIFICANCE.
FROM INNER MAN TO MORTAL BODY
Grace to Glory has moved inward.
Christ in you.
Spirit within.
Inner man strengthened.
Mind renewed.
Christ formed.
But redemption does not stop at the invisible interior.
Romans 8 extends divine life toward:
THE MORTAL BODY.
This is critical.
God’s redemption is not embarrassed by embodiment.
The body is not discarded as an unfortunate mistake.
The apostolic promise reaches the body itself.
MORTALITY IS TARGETED.
“But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we earnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior, Who will transform and fashion anew the body of our humiliation to conform to and be like the body of His glory and majesty, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself.”
— Philippians 3:20–21 AMPC
The destination is not disembodied abstraction.
It is:
A BODY CONFORMED TO HIS GLORIOUS BODY.
THE PROMISED LAND OF GLORIFICATION
Now we understand why Chapter VI is called:
THE PROMISED LAND OF GLORIFICATION.
Israel crossed toward a land promised by God.
The apostolic Gospel likewise moves toward a promised destination.
Romans 8 gives the great sequence:
FOREKNOWN
↓
PREDESTINED
↓
CALLED
↓
JUSTIFIED
↓
GLORIFIED.
And what stands at the center of God’s purpose?
CONFORMITY TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON.
Glorification is not random spiritual enhancement.
It is:
CHRIST-CONFORMITY COMPLETED.
JUSTIFICATION IS NOT THE TERMINUS
This operation does not diminish justification.
It reveals its horizon.
Forgiveness matters eternally.
Justification is foundational.
Reconciliation is magnificent.
But the apostles refuse to stop the story there.
Romans 8 does not say:
WHOM HE JUSTIFIED,
HE LEFT PERMANENTLY UNDER CORRUPTION.
Paul says:
THEM HE ALSO GLORIFIED.
Grace does not merely address guilt.
God’s saving purpose ultimately confronts:
sin,
corruption,
mortality,
and death.
This is why the Gospel ends not merely with:
A CLEAN RECORD.
But with:
A TRANSFORMED CREATION.
1 CORINTHIANS 15
THE RESURRECTION TRANSFORMATION MATRIX
Paul gives us four astonishing contrasts.
The body is sown:
IN CORRUPTION.
It is raised:
IN INCORRUPTION.
It is sown:
IN DISHONOR.
It is raised:
IN GLORY.
It is sown:
IN WEAKNESS.
It is raised:
IN POWER.
It is sown:
A NATURAL BODY.
It is raised:
A SPIRITUAL BODY.
This is not cosmetic improvement.
THIS IS RESURRECTION TRANSFORMATION.
THE TWO ADAMS RETURN
Then Paul brings us back to the mystery that has become central to our present revelation.
“Thus it is written, The first man Adam became a living being (an individual personality); the last Adam (Christ) became a life-giving Spirit [restoring the dead to life].”
— 1 Corinthians 15:45 AMPC
The first Adam is associated with the earthly.
The Last Adam with the heavenly.
Paul then announces:
“And just as we have borne the image [of the man] of dust, so shall we and so let us also bear the image [of the Man] of heaven.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:49 AMPC
There is the Image War reaching its ultimate horizon.
We began with the question:
WHAT IMAGE WILL HUMANITY BEAR?
Now resurrection answers:
THE IMAGE OF THE HEAVENLY.
NEFESH → RUACH → RESURRECTION
Within the RLM framework, we can see an extraordinary progression.
The first Adam became a living nefesh.
The Last Adam became a life-giving ruach.
But Paul’s purpose is not to declare the created soul evil.
His contrast ultimately moves toward:
TWO ADAMIC ORDERS.
The earthly.
And the heavenly.
The perishable.
And the imperishable.
The mortal.
And the immortal.
The image of Adam.
And the image of Christ.
The final objective is not destruction of human personhood.
It is:
THE WHOLE PERSON
BROUGHT UNDER RESURRECTION LIFE.
OPERATIONAL WARNING
DO NOT CONFUSE PRESENT TRANSFORMATION WITH FINAL GLORIFICATION
Here precision gives the revelation greater power.
2 Corinthians 3:18 says believers are presently being transformed:
FROM GLORY TO GLORY.
Romans 8 speaks of present life in the Spirit and the groaning of creation.
But Paul simultaneously says we await:
THE REDEMPTION OF OUR BODY.
Therefore we must hold both truths together.
GLORY HAS BEGUN.
And:
GLORY HAS NOT YET REACHED ITS CONSUMMATION.
Christ lives within us now.
The Spirit transforms us now.
The image of Christ becomes increasingly visible now.
But bodily resurrection remains the promised future consummation.
This is not unbelief.
THIS IS APOSTOLIC HOPE.
ALREADY — AND NOT YET
The resurrection of Jesus creates an extraordinary overlap.
The future has already entered history.
Christ has already risen.
The Spirit has already been given.
New Creation has already begun in Christ.
Yet:
graves remain,
bodies remain mortal,
creation still groans,
and believers await bodily redemption.
Therefore Christianity lives between:
FIRSTFRUITS
and
HARVEST.
Between:
CHRIST RISEN
and
THE DEAD RAISED.
Between:
GLORY PRESENT
and
GLORY CONSUMMATED.
THE GROANING CREATION
Romans 8 expands the battlefield dramatically.
Humanity is not the only participant.
CREATION GROANS.
Paul describes creation as subjected to frustration and enslaved to corruption.
Yet creation waits in hope.
For what?
THE LIBERTY OF THE GLORY
OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD.
This is astonishing.
Glorification possesses:
COSMIC CONSEQUENCES.
God’s purpose is not merely to rescue isolated souls while creation remains eternally enslaved to decay.
The children of God are glorified.
Creation is liberated.
Corruption loses its government.
This prepares us for the seventh and final operation.
DEATH’S THREE WEAPONS
Within Paul’s resurrection argument we can identify three dimensions of the enemy:
CORRUPTION.
What decays.
MORTALITY.
What is subject to death.
DEATH.
The final enemy itself.
God’s answer corresponds:
INCORRUPTION.
IMMORTALITY.
RESURRECTION LIFE.
Paul does not merely announce improved mortality.
He announces mortality:
CLOTHED WITH IMMORTALITY.
THE CLOTHING OPERATION
1 Corinthians 15 repeatedly uses clothing language:
The perishable must:
PUT ON THE IMPERISHABLE.
The mortal must:
PUT ON IMMORTALITY.
Then something happens.
Paul says:
THEN.
That word matters.
Then the saying is fulfilled:
DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY.
The final declaration occurs when mortality itself is clothed with immortality.
The Gospel’s ultimate answer to death is not merely:
WE LEARNED TO COPE WITH IT.
It is:
DEATH WAS SWALLOWED.
DEATH SWALLOWED BY LIFE
This imagery is magnificent.
Death appears to swallow everything.
Generations.
Bodies.
Empires.
History.
Human strength.
Human beauty.
Human achievement.
Everything mortal eventually disappears into its mouth.
Then Paul announces the great reversal:
DEATH ITSELF GETS SWALLOWED.
Not by greater death.
But by:
VICTORY.
And 2 Corinthians 5 provides complementary language:
“…so that what is mortal (our dying body) may be swallowed up by life…”
— 2 Corinthians 5:4 AMPC
There is the resurrection assault:
MORTALITY
SWALLOWED BY LIFE.
INTELLIGENCE DISCOVERY 3
RESURRECTION REVEALS THE TRUE DIRECTION OF GRACE
Why does this belong to a series called:
FROM GRACE TO GLORY?
Because Peter tells us exactly where the God of grace is taking us:
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace… Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus…”
— 1 Peter 5:10 AMPC
Grace is not wandering aimlessly.
GRACE HAS A DESTINATION.
And Romans 8 gives the destination a word:
GLORIFIED.
Grace therefore reaches farther than our past.
Farther than our mistakes.
Farther than condemnation.
Farther than present weakness.
Grace reaches toward:
THE FULL CONFORMITY
OF GOD’S CHILDREN
TO HIS SON.
FORGIVENESS AND RESURRECTION
Here is one of today’s central revelations:
FORGIVENESS CLEARS THE RECORD.
RESURRECTION EMPTIES THE GRAVE.
The Cross deals decisively with sin.
The Resurrection announces the defeat of death.
These are not competing messages.
They are one Gospel.
Christ:
DIED.
Christ:
WAS BURIED.
Christ:
ROSE.
Therefore Christian proclamation must possess:
CROSS AND EMPTY TOMB.
Blood and Life.
Reconciliation and Resurrection.
Justification and Glorification.
THE LAST ENEMY IS NOT YOUR IDENTITY
Because death is called an enemy, believers should never derive ultimate identity from mortality.
We presently inhabit mortal bodies.
But mortality does not possess the final word concerning God’s children.
Our identity is anchored in:
CHRIST.
And Christ is:
RISEN.
Therefore the Christian looks at the grave and says:
You are real.
You are painful.
You presently remain.
But:
YOU ARE NOT ULTIMATE.
Because Jesus Christ rose.
THE RESURRECTION BODY
Paul’s teaching does not present resurrection as simply restarting the present mortal body under identical conditions.
He speaks of:
TRANSFORMATION.
Incorruptible.
Glorious.
Powerful.
Spiritual.
Immortal.
Philippians adds:
CONFORMED TO HIS GLORIOUS BODY.
This is why glorification is the promised land.
The destiny is not merely endless continuation of present mortality.
It is participation in:
RESURRECTION EXISTENCE.
THE LAST ADAM HAS ALREADY CROSSED THE BORDER
This may be the most powerful strategic intelligence of the mission.
Humanity wonders:
CAN DEATH ACTUALLY BE DEFEATED?
Christianity does not answer merely with a theory.
It points to:
JESUS.
The Last Adam has already crossed through death.
He entered.
He emerged.
The grave could not retain Him.
The firstfruits already exist.
The future has a human face:
THE RISEN CHRIST.
Therefore Christian resurrection hope is not wishful optimism.
It is anchored in:
AN EVENT.
Jesus Christ rose from the dead.

FIELD INTELLIGENCE
Operation Last Enemy forces several questions upon us:
Have we reduced salvation to forgiveness while neglecting resurrection?
Have we unconsciously treated mortality as more permanent than God’s promise?
Do we understand Christ’s resurrection as firstfruits—or merely as an isolated miracle?
Does our theology of glorification include the redemption of the body?
Can we distinguish present transformation from future resurrection without separating them?
Do we see creation itself waiting for liberation from corruption?
And ultimately:
DO WE BELIEVE THE LAST ENEMY
WILL ACTUALLY BE DESTROYED?
THE RESURRECTION WAR CRY
Paul reaches the summit and almost taunts the defeated enemy:
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
— 1 Corinthians 15:55 AMPC
This is not denial of grief.
Paul knew suffering.
He knew loss.
He knew mortality.
But resurrection gives grief a horizon death cannot control.
Because death is no longer:
THE END.
Christ has changed the battlefield.
The tomb is no longer an unquestioned terminus.
It has become territory from which:
GOD RAISES THE DEAD.
THE VICTORY COMES THROUGH JESUS CHRIST
And Paul immediately protects the entire revelation from human boasting:
“But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:57 AMPC
Who gives the victory?
GOD.
Through whom?
JESUS CHRIST.
Therefore even resurrection belongs to:
GRACE.
Humanity does not conquer death through superior effort.
We receive victory through the victorious Christ.
Once again:
THE SUPPLY DOES NOT ORIGINATE IN US.
The entire Grace to Glory revelation remains intact.
MISSION OBJECTIVE
Before entering Chapter VI, establish these coordinates:
- Death is explicitly identified by Paul as an enemy.
- The final enemy to be destroyed is death.
- Christ’s resurrection is the firstfruits of the resurrection harvest.
- The Spirit who raised Jesus already dwells within God’s people.
- Present transformation does not eliminate the future hope of bodily resurrection.
- Glorification culminates in conformity to Christ, including transformation of the body.
- The perishable will put on the imperishable.
- The mortal will put on immortality.
- Creation itself waits for liberation from corruption.
- Death will be swallowed up in victory.
- And above everything:
JESUS CHRIST IS ALREADY RISEN.
PREPARATION FOR CHAPTER VI
Now the hearer is prepared for:
THE PROMISED LAND OF GLORIFICATION.
Chapter VI can take the battlefield exposed here and reveal the destination positively.
Operation Last Enemy identifies:
WHAT MUST FALL.
Chapter VI reveals:
WHAT SHALL RISE.
The operation says:
DEATH DESTROYED.
The chapter answers:
HUMANITY CONFORMED TO CHRIST.
The operation exposes:
MORTALITY.
The chapter unveils:
IMMORTALITY.
The operation identifies:
THE LAST ENEMY.
The chapter reveals:
THE PROMISED LAND.
FINAL INTELLIGENCE
The Gospel begins reaching places religion cannot renovate.
The grave cannot be discipled.
Mortality cannot be counseled into immortality.
Corruption cannot self-improve into incorruption.
Death cannot reform itself into life.
Something greater must invade.
RESURRECTION.
Jesus Christ did not stand outside the grave offering advice to the dead.
He entered death.
And:
HE ROSE.
Now His resurrection stands in history as Heaven’s declaration that mortality does not possess permanent jurisdiction over God’s creation.
Christ is risen.
The Firstfruits has appeared.
The Spirit of the One who raised Jesus dwells within His people.
Creation groans.
The children await adoption’s consummation—the redemption of the body.
The trumpet will sound.
The dead will be raised imperishable.
The mortal will put on immortality.
And the ancient enemy that swallowed generation after generation will encounter something it cannot swallow:
RESURRECTION LIFE.
Then Heaven’s verdict will thunder through creation:
DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY.
OPERATION GRACE TO GLORY
SPECIAL FORCES INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING 6
OPERATION LAST ENEMY
Mission Status:
The final enemy has been identified.
Mortality has been exposed as temporary, not ultimate.
The Firstfruits has already risen.
The resurrection harvest has been promised.
The Spirit of resurrection already indwells God’s people.
Creation waits.
The body awaits redemption.
Corruption awaits incorruption.
Mortality awaits immortality.
And death awaits:
DESTRUCTION.
MORE GRACE.
MORE CHRIST.
MORE GLORY.
THE GOSPEL DOES NOT NEGOTIATE
A PERMANENT PEACE TREATY WITH DEATH.
FORGIVENESS CLEARS THE RECORD.
RESURRECTION EMPTIES THE GRAVE.
