Abstract:
This paper unveils a revelation hidden in both the Holy Scriptures and classical holy Kabbalah: that Jesus Christ, the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8), was crucified mystically upon the Teli—the serpent pole of cosmic dominion. Rooted in the oral tradition of Moses and confirmed by the Apostolic Scriptures, this truth unlocks the dominion of the new angelic Israel over the constellations (Mazzalot) and stars of the Sefirot. The crucified Messiah was lifted high upon the primordial pole, the axis of creation, that those who believe in Him would ascend above the governance of fate and become sons of God, crowned in glory.

  1. The Teli: The Cosmic Axis of Dominion

The Oral Tradition of Moses speaks of the Teli, often understood as a great cosmic serpent or dragon, encircling the universe and governing the turning of the celestial spheres. This is paralleled in Job 26:13: “By His Spirit He has adorned the heavens; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent.” The Teli is the hidden axis around which the stars of the Mazzalot revolve, a cosmic pole that connects heaven and earth. In classical Kabbalah, it is associated with the constellation Draco, the serpent-shaped dragon that guards the North Celestial Pole.

Mystically, the Teli is the pole upon which the Serpent of Brass was lifted (Numbers 21:9), prefiguring Christ’s crucifixion: “Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up” (John 3:14). The serpent on the pole foreshadowed Messiah lifted on the cosmic pole—the Teli—before the world was ever made (1 Peter 1:19–20).

  1. The Cross at the Center of Creation

In Revelation 13:8, the Lamb is described as “slain from the foundation of the world.” This is not mere metaphor. Paul confirms in Colossians 1:16–17 that “all things were created through Him and for Him… and in Him all things hold together.” The crucifixion of Christ is not a historical accident, but the central event of all cosmic history—preexistent, preeminent, and eternal.

In Kabbalistic terms, this sacrifice corresponds to Keter, the Crown above all Sefirot. From the highest level of the Ein Sof, the light of self-sacrifice emanated through the Sefirot, descending into Malkhut. It is through this pretemporal crucifixion that the structure of the Sefirotic Tree exists at all, for love (Chesed) and judgment (Gevurah) both find their unity in the Tiferet—the beauty of the crucified Messiah.

  1. Dominion over the Mazzalot through Messiah

The Mazzalot (מַזָּלוֹת), the twelve constellations, rule the cycles of time and influence creation. However, Scripture promises that the children of the resurrection shall be “like the angels in heaven” (Luke 20:36), and not bound by astrological fate. Those born of Christ transcend the stars. Paul affirms in Romans 8:19–21 that the creation itself will be liberated through the sons of God.

Daniel 12:3 declares that “those who lead many to righteousness shall shine like the stars forever.” But in Christ, the believer becomes above the stars. Galatians 3:29 proclaims: “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise”—a promise that in Genesis 15:5 made Abraham’s descendants not just as numerous as the stars, but above them, ruling in divine purpose.

  1. The Cosmic Pole and the Redemption of the Heavens

The Teli, Draco, is the central constellation wrapped around the celestial pole. It was from this serpent’s region that the pole of the heavens was visualized by ancient sages. Christ’s crucifixion on this heavenly pole signifies the full redemption of the heavens. Just as the serpent in Eden led Adam to fall, the crucified Messiah on the serpent pole reverses the curse.

Kabbalistically, the inversion of the Nachash (serpent) becomes the pole of ascent. The Serpent who tempted Eve is judged by the very pole upon which Christ was lifted. The Teli—previously a symbol of fatalistic astrological influence—is transformed into the Rod of Life, the Cross. As Moses’ staff swallowed the serpents of Egypt, so too Christ’s crucifixion swallows the powers of the fallen stars.

  1. Angelic Israel: A People Above the Stars

Isaiah 60:1–3 calls forth a new nation: “Arise, shine; for your light has come… and nations will come to your light.” This is the Angelic Israel, born from above (John 3:3), walking not under the stars but above them. These are they who walk on the sapphire pavement of heaven (Exodus 24:10), ascending Jacob’s Ladder—Christ Himself (John 1:51).

In holy Kabbalah, these are the Tzaddiqim who have sanctified the Sefirot and risen to the heights of Teli. As Paul says in Ephesians 2:6, “God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms.” This includes dominion over constellations, angels, and fates.

Conclusion: Dominion Restored through the Eternal Cross

The Lamb slain before the world was ever formed was crucified mystically upon the Teli, the pole of dominion. This pole, once the symbol of astrological enslavement and demonic influence, has become the Tree of Life through Christ’s sacrifice. Now, all who believe in Him are lifted above the stars, crowned in glory, and enrolled in the citizenship of the New Jerusalem.

As it is written: “To the one who overcomes… I will give the morning star” (Revelation 2:28). And again: “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens” (Daniel 12:3).

They shall ascend the Teli.
They shall walk on the stars.
They shall reign with Messiah forever.
