Aaron and Levi in the New Covenant Tabernacle of Grace

by High Priests Brandon and Rebekah Barthrop

📜 The Sin of the Golden Calf and Aaron’s Restoration

The sin of the Golden Calf occurred when the Israelites, impatient during Moses’ absence on Mount Sinai, demanded a visible god to lead them. Aaron, under pressure from the people, collected their gold and fashioned a molten calf, proclaiming:

“This is your god, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”
— Exodus 32:4

This idolatry was a direct violation of the commandments just given by God.

🔥 Aaron’s Complicity and Failure

Aaron’s sin lay in his compromise: he tried to maintain peace by facilitating idolatry rather than upholding holiness. His actions required serious intercession from Moses and led to the death of 3,000 idolaters.

🕊️ Divine Mercy and Restoration of Aaron

Despite his grievous sin, Aaron was restored by God through three key revelations:

1. Moses’ Intercession Saved Aaron

“And the Lord was angry enough with Aaron to destroy him, but at that time I prayed for Aaron too.”
— Deuteronomy 9:20

Moses’ intercession spared Aaron, showing that restoration comes not by merit, but by covenantal mercy.

2. God Chose Aaron by Grace

Aaron’s consecration as High Priest (Leviticus 8–9) confirmed that his calling was rooted in divine election—not perfection.

3. Aaron: A Picture of Grace-Based Leadership

Aaron’s restored priesthood prefigures Jesus Christ, the merciful High Priest who intercedes for fallen humanity.

“Every high priest… is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness.”
— Hebrews 5:1–4

🕎 The New Covenant Tribe of Levi

In the New Covenant, the Tribe of Levi is transformed from a bloodline priesthood to a cosmic spiritual priesthood in Jesus Christ.

1. Levi Becomes the Royal Priesthood in Christ

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation…”
— 1 Peter 2:9

Believers who stand with Christ in holiness now fulfill the spiritual priesthood Levi once represented.

2. Grace-Based Priesthood Supersedes Genealogy

“He has made us kings and priests unto God…”
— Revelation 1:6

The priesthood is no longer inherited by bloodline, but by spiritual rebirth, repentance, and grace.

3. Mystical and Cosmic Function of Levi

“Do you not know that you are God’s temple…?”
— 1 Corinthians 3:16

Just as Levites guarded the Tabernacle, New Covenant Levites now guard the spiritual temple within the believer and ascend the Ladder of Christ.

4. Levites Belong to Jesus as Their Inheritance

“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul.
— Lamentations 3:24

True Levites live consecrated to Jesus, offering spiritual sacrifices and ministering in truth and fire.

✅ Summary: The New Covenant Levi

  • Spiritualized: By faith and holiness in Christ

  • Heavenly: Ministers from above in the Melchizedek Order

  • Consecrated: Belongs only to God—Jesus is their inheritance

  • Active: Teaches, intercedes, guards truths, offers spiritual sacrifices

“They shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the common.”
— Ezekiel 44:23

🔐 Wisdom of the 12 Tribes as Pearls in Revelation

“The twelve gates were twelve pearls… and on the gates were the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.”
— Revelation 21:12, 21

✨ The Pearl = Suffering Transformed to Glory

Just as a pearl forms through irritation, each tribe represents a redemptive process of refinement through suffering and sanctification.

“If we suffer with Him, we shall also reign with Him.”
— 2 Timothy 2:12

🕎 The Twelve Tribes and Their Gate Functions

Tribe Spiritual Function / Gate Wisdom
Judah Praise and kingship; entering through worship
Reuben Vision and repentance; identity transformation
Gad Warfare and overcoming; the warrior’s gate
Asher Heavenly joy; blessedness in obedience
Naphtali Prophetic speech and swiftness
Manasseh Healing of memory; freedom from the past
Simeon Hearing and obedience; the Shema gate
Levi Holiness and intercession; consecrated ministry
Issachar Wisdom of times and seasons
Zebulun Marketplace holiness and divine provision
Joseph Fruitfulness in exile; glory through testing
Benjamin Intimacy and victory in Christ

Note: Dan is omitted in Revelation 7, replaced by Joseph and Levi.

🏛 Twelve Gates = Governmental Access

Each gate represents not just entry, but initiation—angelically guarded thresholds that grant degrees of access and responsibility in the Lamb’s city.

🌈 Apostolic Foundations + Tribal Gates

“The wall of the city had twelve foundations… names of the twelve apostles…”
— Revelation 21:14

  • Tribes = Identity, soul access

  • Apostles = Doctrine, foundation of Christ

🕊️ Unified Israel in Christ

“He made from the two [Jew and Gentile] one new man.”
— Ephesians 2:15

The 12 tribes are now soul blueprints in Christ for both Jew and Gentile believers—gates of ascension into Zion.

“Blessed are those who wash their robes… enter the city by the gates.”
— Revelation 22:14

✨ Tabernacle of Grace Above the Angelic Sphere

In the Sod of Sod (סוֹד דְּסוֹד), the Tribe of Levi is no longer genetic—it is a cosmic priesthood of fiery angelic men and women who ascend through Jesus Christ above the starry prison of the fallen heavens.

“For the law appoints as high priests men who are weak, but the word of the oath… appoints the Son…”
— Hebrews 7:28

This oath establishes a transfigured Levitical order—priests of the Lamb, ministering in grace and fire above Draco and Mazalot.

🔥 Aaron Restored in Christ

Aaron now functions eternally in the New Covenant:

  • Above Draco, Bozrah, and fallen constellational realms

  • At the sapphire altar of Zion

  • Guarding the fire of wisdom and intercession

  • Ministering in garments of light under the Melchizedek order

He is the example of mercy-restored leadership perfected in Christ.

🗝️ Draco, Bozrah, and the Fallen Sphere

“Who is this coming from Bozrah…?”
— Isaiah 63:1

  • Draco = The serpent crown of the fallen angelic realm

  • Bozrah = Red sorcery city of Edom’s dominion

  • Mozzalot (מֹזָּלוֹת) = Constellational wheels

  • Galgalim (גַּלְגַּלִּים) = Orbital wheels of fate

  • Teli = Celestial dragon axis of the heavens

These once ruled humanity, but now Christ’s Cross has pierced and overcome them.

👑 Zion: Priesthood Above the Stars

“Far above all rule and authority…”
— Ephesians 1:21

The Levites of Zion:

  • Have overcome the animal soul

  • Are circumcised of heart

  • Minister in heavenly fire

  • Teach the angelic Israel

  • Serve before the Face of the Lamb

“They sing a new song before the throne…”
— Revelation 14:3

🕊️ Final Summary: Levi and Aaron in the Tabernacle of Grace

  • Aaron is restored by intercession, now a High Priest of grace in Zion

  • Levi becomes a cosmic order of holy priests in Jesus Christ

  • The Tabernacle of Grace is above the stars—above Mazalot, Draco, and Bozrah

  • The New Covenant Priesthood offers spiritual sacrifices in the true Mishkan of Zion

  • Zion is the eternal home of angelic Israel and the perfected tribe of Levi

“They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,
“On the day that I make them My jewels…”
— Malachi 3:17

These are the jewels of Levi, shining in the breastplate of Jesus Christ, the High Priest of Heaven, forever radiant in the sapphire light of Zion.
